Keeping up to speed
Annual Portolio
Continuing Professional Development – is not just about taking training courses to learn more, but also about keeping your existing knowledge up to speed.
It’s not just the act of undertaking events nd activities that’s valuable, you need to have a record of your CPD as well.
Within Pest management both of the trade associations require that members are on and complete an annual CPD portfolio.

- Online training that’s been completed
- Classroom courses you’ve been to
- Seminars and webinars that have been attended.
- Details of your training, including the points you accumulate, can be added to a portfolio.
CPD Course Credits
How to find them?
Every course that’s accredited for CPD will have a number of points/hours or credits assigned to it. These units often equate to the same thing which is usually one hour of learning = 1 point – but this can vary depending on the complexity of the subject and if there are end tests/assessments.
Each provider will work slightly differently, but in general you will be able to find the points earned per course with the course details.
After you’ve completed your CPD activity, you’ll be given a certificate to keep for your records. This document doesn’t show the number of points you’ve accumulated but there are other ways you can check:
